Is there a doctor in the House?

"Everybody lies"

Simple philosophy, kinda pessimistic and absolute, but what do you expect from Dr. Gregory House. Last time I sorta discussed 2 of my 5 hours of weekly TV. CSI and CSI:NY. This time it's hour #3.

I love House because he is a true anti-hero. He ignores his boss, insults his friends, and goes against every concept of bedside manor......AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!!!!!!!!! The reason why is very simple. He's the best there is at what he does, think the doctor version of Wolverine. House is the very model of how a doctor is NOT suppose to act. Arrogant, egotistical, self-centered. He'll tell ya you're dieing just so ya go get health insurance. To him the patient doesn't matter, it's all about the puzzle and mystery....saving someone's life is just secondary. Oh did I happen to mention he also has a vicodin habit. Well, long story short (noticed I was starting to ramble), House is the doctor you do NOT want as a PCP but if you happen to be dieing and don't know why he IS the doctor you want.

CSI and other shows

Can someone PLEASE explain something to me? Why the hell is CSI:Miami so popular? CSI and CSI:NY both have excellent casts (with the exceptions of Kathrine and Stella) but the strong points of the shows are the male leads Gil Grissom (William Peterson) and Mac Taylor (Gary Sines). The male lead for CSI:Miami, Horatio Caine (David Carusso), is TOO macho bordering on 2 dimensional.....aaaah who am I kidding? This guy could teach Bill Shatner a thing or three about over acting. The supporting cast for the show never caught on with me while I have become vested in the characters from the other two......the fact that Sara and Lindsey are my bi-wives is beside the point :) I don't know. CSI:Miami is just a mystery to me.

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside.

Let's see, I guess I should start by telling you a little about myself. We'll do the boring stuff today and get to the, hopefully, more exciting stuff as we go along. I currently work for one of the leaders in the telecommunications field installing their new TV/Internet/VoIP service. I'm also a veteran with 13 years on the Active Duty Air Force and currently 6.5 years in the USAF reserve. If ya do the math that puts me 6 months from retiring from Uncle Sam. While on Active duty I served as a Crew Chief on the C-130 Hercules at Dyess AFB, Tx. Since joining the Reserves I'm now an Information Manager. I've served time as a technician for CompUSA, a CSR for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas and part time bum. Well, that's the dry stuff, We'll pick up on the more interesting things in the next couple days.
